In certain instances, Dr. Harriet Lerner offers her guidance and insight through telephone consultations. She can be most helpful working with one individual who has a specific problem in a personal or work relationship.
Dr. Lerner does consultations for individuals seeking relationship advice. She does not do ongoing telephone therapy or work with people in crises situations. Phone consultations can be as short as a single session, but typically consist of three sessions.
Phone consultations are not psychotherapy and are not intended as a substitute for therapy. In a crises situation or a complex family situation it's most useful to seek a face-to-face consultation or therapy situation where you live.

Dr. Lerner does not check email when she is out of town. She will answer upon her return.
